We had a lot of fun at Crooked Creek. They had swings for Paul Bunyan, candle making, chicken chasing (of course) and even cow milking. Sheep and mules rounded out the homestead.
The tours were informative and the feel of the whole place was authentic.

With heavy heart we left Crooked Creek camp to make our way to Clear Creek.

Along the way, we ran into a beaver mega-pond which we explored at length.
At Clear Creek, we threw hatchets, shot black powder rifles, and stood knee deep in beaver ponds.

After one of the most wonderful nights in memory,
we set out from Crooked Creek to make our next camp before Mt. Phillips: Clear Creek camp.

One last look at the Crooked Creek cabin (nice chicken).
Crooked Creek, we'll miss you.

I think this is the campsite we had at Clear Creek. It was a little too close to all the other crews' camps for my liking. But, we had a greater mission on our minds... Mt. Phillips came tomorrow.

Another cool little mushroom.
