Venturing Crew 566
Saratoga, California
We are an active group of highly motivated and adventurous members! Our focus is having fun in the great outdoors -- from treks in the Sierras to white-water rafting to cycling trips.
Crew 566 is an organization that goes on high adventure trips throughout the year.
The fee for joining is $10 for the year, and each
trip varies in cost. There is no obligation for
going on the trips, just come on the trips that
you can make.
One of the great aspects of the crew is that it is
completely run by the crew members themselves. You will
plan when and where to meet for meetings, as
well as what trips to go on and when.
Some of
our past trips have included a ski trip to Dodge
Ridge, sailing in the Bahamas, backpacking to
Mount Whitney, various hikes around the bay
area, white water rafting, shooting at a gun
range, and sailing on the SF bay.
Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and have completed the eighth grade and under 21 years of age.
We are chartered to the Saratoga Presbyterian Church and associated with Troop 566.
