Backpacking Treks:
- Spring Conditioning Backpack:
This one is tentatively planned for the backcountry of
Henry Coe State Park (150 KB)
on the third weekend in April, where we camp at Mississippi Lake
and fish for some of the great bass that call this spot home!
- Summer Conditioning Backpack:
maybe in the middle Sierra, where snow has melted,
sometime in mid-June
- 50-Miler Treks:
Typical summer long treks might include our famous Trans-Sierra Trek (2007), the Marble Mountains or another
prime destination. Every few years we reserve a trek at Philmont Scout Ranch -- truly the "Adventure of a Lifetime!" Requires several conditioning treks.
- Easy 4-day Backpack:
a laid-back trek to some Eastern Sierra lakes (about 4-5 miles), then setting up a base
camp and fishing, peak-bagging, etc. Recent treks were to Little Lakes Valley,
Green Lakes, Humphreys Basin, Thousand Island Lake, and Saddlerock Lake (Mr. W and Mr. K)
