We are an active group of highly motivated and adventurous members! Our focus is having fun in the great outdoors -- from treks in the Sierras to white-water rafting to cycling trips.
We are open
to Boy Scouts who are First Class rank or higher, from
any of the West Valley (Saratoga/Los Gatos/Cupertino/San Jose/Campbell) Troops who have been on at least two
backpacking trips; and to Girl Scouts with
camping/backpacking experience. We typically have about 15 to 20 active members, plus some senior members (away at college) and an Advisor staff (adults) of about 10 (including about 3 backpacking women). We have very few "formal" meetings; instead, we use Google Groups to exchange coordinating emails as we plan each trip, and we have our own Wiki where members and advisors can post status and updates on planned adventures. Sign up now, for these adventures: April big-boat sailing on SF Bay; Shooting safety and practice to the Los Altos shooting range up on Skyline; Skyline-to-Sea backpack on Memorial Day weekend; and the August 5-day Eastern Sierra backpacking trip. (Get the site's password from Jacob.)

We also have posted pictures and stories from the 2001 trip to
Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico -- and our 2002 trip to
Philmont Scout Ranch! Next Post Meeting! We do not hold regular meetings; contact the Advisor or Crew President to get involved.Trips that may be Planned for a Typical Year:To see a listing of our interests, and some of the potential trips we plan during the year, please visit our "about" page.
